What should the next tournament/s be? Should we start another euro tournament and another wargame tournament? Anyone have suggestions as to which games? Tichu? Another CC:E? Dump your thoughts here at will.
Personally I would love an ASL Starter Kit #1 tournament but that would be selfish

The CC:E tournament has been awesome. It has all the ingredients for a good tournament game:
* Rules are clear - there aren't any disputes
* Games are quick - I think average has been around 2h
* A lot of people like the game and know how to play- we had 8 people for the inaugural tournament
* There are a lot of copies of the game - I think everyone but Jeff (Imants?) has a copy in our tournament
What would be other games that fit the criteria above?
I would be up for another CC:E tournament. We could play scenarios 8-12 both sides each. Or to be more perverse, play the same scenarios as the current tournament, swapping sides (and bids?). Or we could go for randomly generated scenarios.
Or we can have a Polarity tournament |

| For my own health I think I'll duck out of another CC:E tournament so soon - my poor heart couldn't take it. |

I couldn't help but feel sorry for you Frankie. Those emotions, they're painful to watch. And I'm being entirely serious! |

| Is that a moderated game Frankie? I like the design of the interface. |

Yeah Malloc from fortessameritrash is moderating.
Barnes, Robartin and Mat Thrower are also playing. |

There appears to be some consensus on having an ASL Starter Kit #1 tournament. Who would be up for this in the near future? We would of course need to bring some people up to speed on the rules before starting.
So far I think we have:
Christian
Alpha
Ben
Potentials:
Jeff
Doug A
Chee
Hayden |

I'd play ASL SK 1 - gotta lift my play from "abysmal" to "awful".
I agree with Christian, though, I think CC is better for the quick pick up and play at Dockers format. |

Yeah I thought Christian was up for more CC:E but last night I had the impression he wanted us to move on to something a little deeper
I'll let him chime in. |

I would play another CC:E tournament, but I think ASLSK 1 would make for a nice change.
I was reluctant to play ASL at first because I thought the ASLSK was just the full ASL infantry rules, but looking at the 20 or so pages rulebook last night, and speaking to Ben on how much leaner ASLSK is, I think it would make a great tournament.
Don't know how many copies of ASLSK 1 we have floating around, but at $38 each, there is no reason I wouldn't buy one for myself. I'm encouraging everyone who hasn't played ASLSK (Jeff, me, Imants, Frank?) to learn it from Ben, Doug and Alpha so we can get the rules down for the tourney.
I must say though that I will not be able to come to Dockers in the forseeable future, as I am back working late shifts (12-9pm). But I can catch up with my games on EGF. |

ASL SK tournament sounds like a good idea (no takers for TS tournament? ), but I sure wouldn't mind another round of CC:E. It'll be a good opportunity to try the latter scenarios. How many of us have played the 8-12 scenarios? Or random scenarios?
So I'm in, whichever one! |

| CC:E for me in the later scenarios. Gives me a chance to play them. |
