weve actually been at the bowling club for a few years..
gamers join the club as socia members for $25/year, yes thats right folks, $25/YEAR and youre welcome to use the bar eligible for door draws and join our pie/parma nights (kitchen s well as bar - no pokies its a smal club) occasional summer bowls nights too! in the winter gamers pretty much have the place to themselves.. a good place for a competition to be run if you ask me!

Rathmines st fairfield, literally a straight walk from the fairfield rail

you'd be best joining the yahoo group and announcing yourself. alex and Neil announce meetings there
look for "dancecard" posts, people normally post.. whats on or announce if they want a game.

Currently there is an English Civil War Campaign and a bit of Flames of War being played as well as some napoleonic naval and DBA.. I had a game of a house divided there a month or so ago before I left for Germany and I play setlers with any kids that turn up unless they bring monsters rampage america! when im back from germany i'll be running more napoleonic naval and full thrust as well as Pre-dreadnought naval.

So, it's 100% wargames? I live about 5 minutes walk away.

over the years we've played all kinds of things from naval war to shark to settlers.. cy hiew used to bring along some quite obscure stuff.
the ECW campaign is based on a print and play boardgame from the perfect captain..

log onto the yahoo group and introduce yourself suggest something and teach it is what I normally do.

like I said introduce yourself and arrange something on the list. we dont frown at eurogames at all!
just a matter of getting the numbers, bring friends its a great room and you can have a beer and watch the massive telly :)

Alex king is our glorious leader.. hes the greenskeeper at the bowls club and got us the room :)

say hi from Bob

Julian, isnt it? maybe we met at VDCs many moons ago when I did FtF Dip.

come on down and check the place out.. say hello..
I get back from Germany on February 15th I think itd be a great place for a regular boardgaming group, lotsa tables licensed summer lawn bowls even storage if you want to leave gear there
while the clubs started back in the 80s as a mniatures group most of us willplay anything,, the kids played monsters over america a while back.

I heard that Dockers guys had been using the Lithuanian club in errol st.. which is a lovely accessible location
we are 5 min walk from the Fairfield rail
