How about a 4 player game of Angola on Saturday, 19 April, at Convic? We can start in the morning and finish in time for dinner and the C&C Ancients wargame session.

I would suggest playing Angola at this EGF, but I can't be there this Saturday - so I think no Angola should be played until Convic!!

well a game at convic sounds great and I'm reserving my spot at the table.

Although, I think it should be road tested before hand at EGF...

Thought Angola was a 4 hour game. It worries me that Christian said it starts in the morning and finishes at dinner...

I want to see what the fuss is about. Jeff, any chance of getting a scan of the rules to us before we play?

Wait...is Chee Yan going?

Angola is too precious to be left in the charge of one single owner in Australia - so Jeff has borrowed it from Chee to be backed up 8)

Shawn - from experience, Angola will take longer than 4h... i think at conquest we played for that long, and we still had 3 turns to go when we were kicked out of our room

It should go faster with the rules still fresh in my memory...

There is a copy of Angola on ebay.co.uk

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... EF:GB:1123

Perhaps there could be group buy to save on people bidding against each other. Only 28 hours left as of 10 pm 31st March.

I saw this a few days ago and have set my ebay sniper up in this one...unless someone else wants it?

Thanks but someone else seems to be eagerly bidding on this on too. Not sure if I put a high enough price.

One the reprint comes out, prices will tumble.

Jeff, since you're 'backing up' Chee's copy, care to share it? Or the rules at least. I want to see how the game works!

we'll see how we go first. Things may take some time...

I'm going to put a bid in for this game if you have withdrawn Shawn.

I have set my autosniper up. Haven't withdrawn but let me know if you want to buy it.

Some other person keeps bidding it up (tell me it's not you Jeff) because the way to get things cheap on ebay is to bid in the last 10 seconds NOT early.

Thanks! I whacked in a bid (probably too high) and went to bed. Auction sniper did the rest.

Hope Jeff didn't bid on it. We probably added at least a few pound to the purchase price!
