I've installed what appears to be a half decent calendar mod. Best of all, you can now register your attendance to events! So there should be no more "Oh, I didn't think you were going" excuses.

Are users able to add events to the calendar, or is that something we'd have to message you to do? (Not that I have any events I'm organising... just curious.)

Hey bsmith,

Can I add the Billabong Gamers event, or is this something only you can do?

Only I can add events right now, but let me know if you want to help out and I'll give you access; Probably only need one or two people.

We will stick to larger events with ten or more attendees to keep things clean.

What are the details for Billabong KK? e.g. Time and frequency etc.

I'm not particularly involved in it, and am only marginally likely to attend this year, but Arcanacon is on over the 23rd-26th of January:

Arcanacon is held at Collingwood College, Melbourne KK, not Canberra.

Cancon is the Canberra event. You're not a real gamer if you haven't been to Cancon. :smt018 :D

Yeah, I know. Which is why I put it in as "Arcanacon in Canberra". Thought that Melbourne gamers might like to know about it.

Sorry, just re-read what you wrote. I'll change it. :p

They are having an official boardgames room this year too:

Arcanacon is pleased to announce a new space for Open Boardgaming. Throughout the convention we will dedicate a quiet room, with ample tables and chairs. Please bring any and all boardgames, wargames, miniatures rules or cardgames for friendly play in a congenial venue. This is not a tournament - no prizes will be awarded - but an open gaming space available throughout the convention.

I don't seem to be able to register my intended attendance anymore, has the setting changed or have I just forgotten how?

Was that for Gamers@Dockers Westgarth? Should be fixed now, I think it was only for that one event.

Cheers

Actually it was going to be for the next EGD on the 7th.

Isn't that feature always available or only if the organisers request it? I thought it was an open entry system.

It's all configurable, so you can switch it on and off for specific events as needed. I think by default it's on, I probably broke it when I was experimenting. :D
